Get Clarity

When was the last time you paused to think about your day, a new idea or goal, or an achievement? What were you doing? 

  • In the shower 

  • Driving 

  • On a walk or run 

  • Trying to fall asleep 

  • Gazing outside a window 

  • Enjoying a coffee or tea 

Let your mind wander for a minute or a while. What does that feel like? If you aren’t used to this, you may feel stressed, overwhelmed, or just uncomfortable. The more you do it though, the more relaxed and in control you will feel.  

How do you know when to bring yourself back to the present? You might try identifying a specific duration of time. If you are on a walk, run or are driving, have a destination in mind. Thinking while gazing outside or being in the shower, set a timer. For those of you who think while trying to fall asleep, pick a different time of day to think.  

Taking time to pause and think will help you  

  • seek clarity, 

  • gather your thoughts, 

  • set new goals,  

  • and solve problems.
